Photochromic sunglasses have a lens that darkens when exposed to UV light/sunlight. This allows the glasses to adapt to the light conditions you are exposed to at the time. So when you’re out on the lake on a sunny day, the lenses get darker, and if you use them indoors, they get lighter.
