The Wychwood Carp Tactical Compact Bivvy is a top-tier shelter designed for the mobile and short-session angler who values a balance between a full-featured bivvy and a lightweight, compact form factor. It is one of the lightest full bivvies on the market, making it an excellent choice for those who need to move their gear frequently.

Key Features and Specifications

Design and Frame: The bivvy features a simple and efficient 2-rib pram-hood design. This classic structure provides a stable and reliable shelter that is quick and easy to set up. It is supported by lightweight but strong 16mm poles, which are a key factor in its low weight.
Fabric and Weatherproofing: It is constructed from a hard-wearing 10,000mm hydrostatic head ripstop material. This fabric is exceptionally waterproof and durable, ensuring you stay dry and protected from the elements even during heavy, prolonged rainfall. The seams are fully taped for added waterproofing.
Compact and Lightweight: This is the bivvys defining feature. With a packed length of only 120cm and a bivvy-only weight of just 4kg (or 6kg including the heavy-duty groundsheet and pegs), it is remarkably easy to transport. This makes it ideal for anglers who like to travel light or fish from a barrow over long distances.
Internal Space: Despite its compact nature, the bivvy offers a surprising amount of internal space. It is designed to comfortably accommodate a bed chair and essential tackle. The dimensions when erected are 240cm (W) x 165cm (D) x 125cm (H), providing a good amount of headroom and floor space for a single person.
Ventilation and Door Options: The bivvy comes with a large rear mozzy mesh vent, which provides crucial airflow to reduce condensation and keep you cool in warm weather. The front of the bivvy features a full, zip-in, waterproof door, which offers the flexibility of a sealed front.
Supplied Accessories: The bivvy comes as a complete package, including a heavy-duty carry bag, a heavy-duty groundsheet to provide a clean and dry floor, and a full set of pegs for secure anchoring.
Overwrap Compatibility: An overwrap is available separately for the Tactical Compact Bivvy. This accessory creates a twin-skin system, which is highly effective at eliminating condensation and providing extra insulation for cold-weather fishing.

The Wychwood Carp Tactical Compact Bivvy is a perfect solution for anglers who want the full-featured protection of a bivvy without the bulk and weight, making it a highly practical and versatile choice for all-season fishing.
