Chasebaits Curly Prawn 90 mm Sinking Lure 4/Pack Lime Tiger

90mm | Sinking | Hardbait

The Chasebaits Curly Prawn 90 mm Sinking Lure 4/Pack Lime Tiger is a prawn-style lure, which means it should be fished differently from a straight baitfish minnow.

A prawn does not usually swim in one perfect line.

It kicks, pauses, sinks, and gets picked off when it looks exposed.

That is the presentation you want to create.

Use small lifts, short hops, twitches, and controlled pauses rather than burning it back every cast.

Around flats, mangroves, drains, rock edges, pontoons, and bridge shade, the pause is often the bite window.

Let the lure look like it is settling or trying to escape, then move it just enough to make predators react.

At 90mm | Sinking | Hardbait, this is best for fish that feed on prawns, shrimp, and small crustaceans in shallow to mid-depth water.

The heavier versions suit current, wind, and longer casts, while the lighter versions are better when fish are spooky or feeding in skinny water.

It is not the first pick when fish are chasing fast baitfish on top; it is stronger when they are picking off prawns around structure.

The brighter finish is there for visibility, not subtlety.

Use it when the water has stain, there is cloud cover, the lure is being worked through wash, or the fish need a stronger target to lock onto.

In very clear calm water it may be too loud, so a more natural baitfish colour would usually be the safer choice.

TARGET SPECIES: bream, flathead, snapper, mangrove jack, barramundi, estuary perch, sea bass, and other inshore predators that feed on prawns and small crustaceans.
