Stimulator – Yellow Sally

The Stimulator is a classic attractor dry fly designed to imitate a wide range of large insects, including stoneflies, hoppers, and caddis. Its typically tied with an elk hair wing, palmered hackle over a dubbed body, and a bushy tail, giving it excellent floatation and visibility in rough water. This fly is ideal during stonefly and terrestrial hatches or anytime you need a buoyant pattern to draw strikes in pocket water and fast-moving streams. Fish it solo or as the top fly in a dry-dropper rig to cover both surface and subsurface feeding zones. Its high-floating profile and versatility make it a must-have in any dry fly box.
