The Cox & Rawle OShaughnessy 3x Treble Hooks are high-strength, premium treble hooks designed for predator and saltwater fishing where extra durability and holding power are essential.

The key specifications and features relate to the hooks design for targeting powerful, hard-fighting fish:

Key Features and Specifications

Feature	Details
Hook Type	Treble Hook (three points).
Strength Rating	3X Heavy or 3X Strong wire. This indicates the wire gauge is three times stronger/thicker than a standard hook of the same size, providing superior strength against bending or snapping by large fish.
Bend Style	OShaughnessy Bend. This is a classic, slightly squared-off bend shape, widely regarded as one of the strongest hook bends, providing excellent strength and holding power.
Shank Length	1X Short Shank. The shorter shank is designed to be compact, which is ideal for arming lures and plugs without fouling and is often preferred when targeting hard-fighting fish in deep water or fast tides.
Point	Needle Sharp point, usually chemically sharpened, for quick and solid penetration.
Gape	The OShaughnessy bend, combined with straight points, offers an increased gape size for a better hook-up rate.
Material	Hi-Carbon Steel for superior strength and durability.
Finish	May vary, but Cox & Rawle hooks often come in a Black Nickel or Tinned/Duratin finish for corrosion resistance, making them suitable for saltwater use.
Primary Use	Designed specifically as a Predator Lure/Rig Treble. Popular for targeting fierce species such as Sea Bass, Pike, and Zander. They are also commonly used as replacement hooks on large plugs, spoons, or other hard baits.
