Key Features

• Twistbuster Technology: One of Daiwas most famous innovations, Twistbuster significantly reduces line twist during the retrieve. This ensures your line remains in top condition and flows off the spool flawlessly for accurate, long-distance casts every time.

• ABS (Advanced Ballistic System) Spool: The ABS spool design is engineered to reduce line friction during the cast. By utilizing a larger spool diameter and a tapered design, it allows the line to peel off in larger, looser coils, dramatically increasing your casting distance and preventing tangles.

• Durable Graphite Build: The body and side plates are crafted from high-strength graphite. This gives the reel a perfect balance of lightweight portability and the structural rigidity required to stand up to the most demanding sessions.

Pro Tip for Anglers

The Sweepfire 4000 is an incredibly versatile do-it-all reel. Because it features the ABS spool and Twistbuster, it excels at distance casting. To get the best performance, ensure you fill the spool so the line sits roughly 2mm from the edge of the lipthis is the sweet spot for this reels spool geometry. If you are using it for lure fishing, keep the bail arm clean and ensure you manually flip it closed after casting to maintain the perfect line lay.

Where to Use

• Coarse Fishing: Ideal for feeder fishing for bream, tench, and carp, where you need a reel that can handle repeated casting and reliable retrieves.

• Lure & Predator Fishing: The 5.3:1 gear ratio is perfect for working lures, providing just enough speed to keep your lure moving while having enough power to handle hard-fighting pike.

• Light Sea/Estuary Work: A great choice for targeting bass or mackerel in estuaries and from piers, where its smooth operation and durable build are a major advantage.
