Deps Soft Lure Death Adder 5 Inch 8 per pack Feco 06

5 Inch | Sinking | Soft Plastic

This is a soft plastic bait made for a more natural, flexible presentation than a hard lure.

The body material lets it move with small rod inputs, current, and fall speed, which is why soft plastics often get bites when hard baits are being followed but not eaten.

Rig it based on the water you are fishing.

A weighted hook or jig head gets it down and gives better contact.

A lighter rig lets it glide and hang longer around shallow edges, weed pockets, docks, rock, and bait schools.

The key is to let the lure fall naturally instead of overworking every cast.

The 5 Inch size gives it a clear baitfish profile without forcing you into oversized tackle.

Work it with twitches and slack-line pauses when fish are tracking bait, or swim it steadily when you need to cover water and find active fish.

The finish should be chosen by matching it to the water rather than assuming one colour works everywhere.

Use subtle natural colours in clear water, brighter or higher-contrast colours in dirty water, and darker silhouettes when fish are tracking shape more than detail.

The limitation is durability and rigging accuracy.

If it is rigged crooked, it will spin or kill the action.

If toothy fish are around, expect to go through bodies faster than with a hard lure.

The trade-off is a much more natural bite-triggering presentation.

TARGET SPECIES: bass, sea bass, flathead, snapper, perch, trevally, barramundi, and other predators that respond to a natural soft-bait presentation.
