Deps Soft Lure Sakamata Shad 2 Inch 12 (5125)

Deps Soft Lure Sakamata Shad 2 Inch 12

2 Inch | Sinking | Soft Plastic

This is a soft jerkbait/shad-style lure made for a natural darting and gliding presentation.

The important part is that it does not need a hard built-in wobble; the movement comes from the rigging, rod work, and fall, which gives you much more control around pressured fish.

Rig it based on the water you are fishing.

A weighted hook or jig head gets it down and gives better contact.

A lighter rig lets it glide and hang longer around shallow edges, weed pockets, docks, rock, and bait schools.

The key is to let the lure fall naturally instead of overworking every cast.

The 2 Inch size gives it a clear baitfish profile without forcing you into oversized tackle.

Work it with twitches and slack-line pauses when fish are tracking bait, or swim it steadily when you need to cover water and find active fish.

The Sakamata Shad 2 Inch 12 finish is best treated as a natural baitfish option.

It makes the most sense in clear to lightly stained water, around visible bait, or when fish are looking closely before committing.

It is not the first colour I would choose for muddy water unless the lure silhouette is still easy for fish to track.

The limitation is durability and rigging accuracy.

If it is rigged crooked, it will spin or kill the action.

If toothy fish are around, expect to go through bodies faster than with a hard lure.

The trade-off is a much more natural bite-triggering presentation.

TARGET SPECIES: bass, sea bass, flathead, snapper, perch, trevally, barramundi, and other predators that respond to a natural soft-bait presentation.
