50g | Floating

The Spear 50 Hand Made Wood Pencil Floating Lure 50 gram is a handmade wood pencil/stickbait for surface predators.

The wood body gives it presence and a more deliberate surface action than a small plastic finesse plug, which matters when you need to call fish up or cover water around bait.

Use rod sweeps, short twitches, and controlled pauses to walk or slide it across the surface.

Fast retrieves can trigger active fish, but big surface lures often get eaten on the pause or restart, so do not rush every cast back to the rod tip.

It suits reef edges, bait schools, current lines, open flats, rock ledges, and shore or boat casting where predators are looking upward.

Match the size to the fish and bait; oversized surface lures are powerful, but they are not the answer when predators are locked onto tiny bait.

TARGET SPECIES: GT, tuna-class fish, kingfish, amberjack, mahi-mahi, trevally, queenfish, bluefish, and surface-feeding pelagics.
