Garbolino Addiction Feeder Distance 12 3Sec

Garbolino Addiction Feeder Distance 12 3-Sec: Conquer the Horizon

When the fish are held up far from the bank, you need a tool designed specifically to bridge the gap. Here at Gerrys Fishing, we recognize the Garbolino Addiction Feeder Distance 12 as a powerhouse engineered for the specialist who refuses to be limited by range. Unlike standard feeder rods, this Distance model features a reinforced lower and mid-section, providing the backbone required to hit the horizon with pinpoint accuracy, cast after cast.

Despite its incredible power, this rod remains refined and manageable thanks to the slimline and lightweight IM Carbon blanks. The 3-section configuration makes it highly portable without compromising the structural integrity needed for high-energy casting. Equipped with a mixed Cork/EVA handle for maximum leverage and a tubular reel seat for a rock-solid reel connection, it is the ultimate choice for large stillwaters and big, fast-flowing rivers.

Engineered for the Long Slog

To manage the stresses of distance work, this rod is supplied with the heavy-duty DISTANCEFLEX 2.9mm tips. These tips are built to handle the heavier feeders and larger shock-leader knots associated with long-range fishing. With painted tip ends for high-vis bite detection and the power indicated on the base of each tip, you can swap between weights with total confidence.

Where to Use

• Expansive Reservoirs: The go-to tool for reaching distant bars and plateaus where big shoals of bream and hybrids congregate.

• Large, Fast Rivers: The 12ft length and powerful mid-section are perfect for holding heavy feeders in the flow on rivers like the Trent or the Severn.

• Long-Range Stillwaters: Specifically designed to maintain accuracy even when casting into a stiff headwind.

• Distance Method Work: While refined enough for natural baits, it has the oomph to punch out large method feeders for commercial distance carping.

Gerrys Top Tip: When casting at extreme distances with the Addiction Distance, consistency is everything. Use the line clip on your reel to hit the same spot, but always remember to use a shock-leaderideally a tapered one. This protects the rod tip from the initial crack of a heavy cast and ensures that even if you hit the clip hard, the rods progressive mid-section absorbs the shock rather than snapping your mainline
