Garbolino Towel Apron (Design Squadra) 75 x 50cm

The Garbolino Towel Apron is a essential technical garment for the modern match and coarse angler. Designed to be worn around the waist, it provides a dedicated area for drying hands and cleaning off fish slime or bait residue (such as groundbait or clay) without compromising your main fishing clothing. Part of the Design Squadra range, it combines professional aesthetics with high-performance utility.

Constructed from a 350g absorbent sponge material, this apron is exceptionally efficient at moisture-wicking while remaining lightweight enough for all-day wear. The generous 75 x 50 cm dimensions ensure maximum coverage for your lap and legs while seated on a seat box.

Key Performance Features

• Squadra Design Aesthetics: Featuring the iconic Garbolino Squadra branding, this apron matches the rest of the high-end luggage and clothing range, providing a professional look on the bank.

• Superior Absorbency: The 350g sponge is specifically chosen for its thirsty properties. It can absorb significant amounts of water and slime before needing to be wrung out or replaced.

• Quick-Release System: The fabric strap is fitted with a durable plastic buckle that allows you to click the apron on or off in seconds. This is vital during a busy match when you need to adjust your gear quickly.

• Lap Protection: The 75cm width is wider than standard hand towels, meaning it covers both knees and your lap perfectly when sitting on a 36mm or 25mm seat box system, protecting your trousers from dampness.

Ideal Fishing Scenarios

• Match & Speed Fishing: When every second counts, having a towel strapped to your waist prevents you from fumbling for a loose towel on your side tray.

• Mixing Groundbait: Use it to wipe your hands clean after squeezing balls of groundbait or handling sticky leams and clays.

• Casting in the Rain: It provides a dry patch to grip your rod or pole sections, ensuring no slips during high-precision casting or shipping.

• Handling Slime-Heavy Species: Excellent for Bream and Tench sessions where fish slime can quickly saturate standard clothing.

Gerrys Tip: I always keep a spare Squadra Apron in my carryall. Because its so absorbent, once one side gets a bit too dirty, you can just unclip it and flip it over. To maintain the absorbency, avoid using fabric softeners when washing itjust a standard detergent wash will keep the fibers open and ready to soak up moisture
