Inherits all the performance of the Aventa RS
The ultimate finesse crawler bait. The Aventa RS Chiquita is a highly technical crawler bait made from natural cedar wood, inheriting the uncompromising dead-slow retrieve performance of the legendary. Aventa RS, which featured natural paulownia wood. While preserving that supreme slow-crawling action, the Chiquita pushes the limits furthernow fully capable of handling mid- to high-speed retrieves, all in the smallest class body.
Despite its compact size of less than 5cm, the Aventa RS Chiquita delivers performance that rivals its larger sibling, the Aventa RS, thanks to its use of cedar wood. Cedar offers buoyancy close to that of the paulownia wood used in the original Aventa RS, while also boasting superior durability, water resistance, and strength qualities so trusted that its used in traditional Japanese flooring and even in some of the most iconic crankbaits in American fishing history. During the development of the Chiquita, its significantly smaller bodyakin to a tiny cicadaposed challenges. Paulownia, while buoyant, lacked the strength and water resistance needed for such a small body to effectively support wings and hook hardware. After extensive testing of various natural woods, cedar emerged as the ideal material, striking the perfect balance of grip on the water, natural texture, and structural integrityensuring smooth action on the surface without collapse.
The Aventa RS Chiquita delivers a remarkable fusion of two seemingly contradictory traits: the ultra-dead-slow performance inherited from the original Aventa RS, and high-speed capabilitythough not quite on par with the Bazel, yet powerful enough to command respect. Whether mimicking the desperate surface struggles of a cicada or frog, this lure allows any angler to effortlessly create subtle, death-throes-like ripples with minimal movement. And when the situation calls for it, a sudden burst of speed transforms the Chiquita into a fleeing baitfish, triggering aggressive second bites in reaction-strike scenarios.
