Imakatsu Gekiasa Shad 58 mm 7 grams Floating Lure 1007

58mm | 7g | Floating | Floating shallow shad/minnow | Finish: 1007

The Gekiasa Shad 58 mm 7 grams Floating Lure is a shallow floating shad/minnow made for working skinny water, cover edges, and bank structure.

It gives a stronger body profile than a thin minnow while still staying shallow enough for cover fishing.

Fish it with a steady retrieve along shallow banks, weed edges, timber, rocks, and flats.

Pause it when it touches cover or when a fish follows; the floating body can rise just enough to avoid snagging and also gives the fish a chance to commit.

It is strongest when predators are hunting close to the bank or over shallow structure.

It is not the best tool for deep fish; if the bites are coming lower, use a deeper shad, crank, or sinking bait.

The baitfish-style finish is best treated as the natural option for clear to lightly stained water and sight-feeding fish.

It is not the first choice for muddy water, but it looks more believable when predators are already keyed in on real bait.

TARGET SPECIES: bass, perch, peacock bass, sea bass, flathead, mangrove jack, and predators holding around cover, banks, weed, rock, or depth changes.
