Kinetic Sabiki Halibut Circle Hook – Size 10/0 – Glow

Kinetic Sabiki Halibut Circle Hook 10/0: The Ultimate Deep-Water Weapon

When you are hunting the giants of the deepHalibut, trophy Cod, Ling, and Coalfishthere is no room for error. At Gerrys Fishing, we know that these species are as smart as they are strong. The Kinetic Sabiki Halibut Circle Hook rig has been custom-designed by professional sea anglers to meet the brutal demands of northern waters. This isnt just a rig; its a heavy-duty system built to survive sharp teeth, jagged rocks, and the sheer pulling power of a specimen fish.

The heart of this rig is the 10/0 Circle Hook. Unlike traditional J-hooks, circle hooks are designed to slide to the corner of the fishs mouth and lock in securely, drastically reducing the chance of a pulled hook during a long, grueling retrieve from the depths. Finished in a high-visibility Glow coating, this rig provides the vital visual trigger needed in the dark, high-pressure environment of the deep sea.

Detailed Specifications

Why Use the Kinetic Sabiki Halibut Circle Hook?

• Self-Hooking Efficiency: The 10/0 circle hook design means you dont need to strike the fish. When the fish takes the bait and turns, the hook naturally finds the corner of the jaw, ensuring a perfect hook-hold every time.

• Deep-Water Visibility: At depths where Halibut and Ling thrive, light is scarce. The integrated Glow attractor and luminescent components act as a beacon, drawing predators toward your bait from a distance.

• Rugged Construction: Built with premium, thick-diameter nylon and heavy-duty swivels, this rig is designed to withstand the abrasion of a fishs sandpaper-like teeth and the friction of the seabed.

• Professional Design: Every element of this rigfrom the attractor placement to the leader lengthhas been tuned by experts to ensure natural bait presentation in heavy tides.

Pro Tip from the Gerrys Team

The Slow Tension Hook-Set: When using this 10/0 circle hook rig, the most important rule is do not strike. When you feel a bite, resist the urge to jerk the rod upward. Instead, simply wait for the rod to double over and slowly wind into the fish. This steady tension allows the circle hook to slide into the perfect position in the jaw. For the best results, bait the hook with a large fillet of mackerel or a whole small coalfish to create a massive scent trail alongside the glow attraction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a 10/0 size hook?

A 10/0 hook is designed for massive baits and massive mouths. It provides the strength and gape necessary to bridge the thick jaw of a Halibut or a large Cod, ensuring the point can clear the bait and find a solid purchase.

How do I charge the Glow attractor?

For the most intense light, use a UV torch or a high-powered headlamp to charge the luminescent parts for 30 seconds before dropping the rig. This ensures the rig is glowing at its brightest when it reaches the strike zone.

Can I use this for boat fishing in the UK?

Absolutely. While popular for Norway trips, this rig is exceptionally effective for UK wrecking and deep-water reef fishing for large Ling, Conger, and Cod.

Is the line strong enough for a 50lb+ Halibut?

Yes. Kinetic uses a high-quality, heavy-duty nylon specifically selected for its shock-resistance and knot strength, capable of handling the lunges of the most powerful deep-water predators.
