Megabass Dog X Quick Walker Sw – 8.7cm 12g

Megabass Dog-X Quick Walker SW: The High-Tempo Topwater Specialist

At Gerrys Fishing, we find that when the sun is up and the water is clear, predators like Bass and Sea Bream can be incredibly picky. You need a lure that moves fast enough to prevent them from studying the bait, and the Megabass Dog-X Quick Walker SW is the undisputed master of this high-tempo approach.

This 8.7cm floating stickbait is specifically tuned for saltwater environments. Its defining characteristic is the Inertial Balancer System, which shifts the center of gravity to the rear for massive casting distance, then allows for lighting-fast Table Turns of over 180 degrees with almost no travel distance. This means you can keep the lure dancing in the strike zone for longer, even during a high-speed retrieve.

The unique Water Through Gill design is more than just a visual detail; it cuts through the surface to create a proprietary splash and bubble trail, while the internal rattle emits a sharp one-knock sound that calls fish up from the depths.

Where to Use the Dog-X Quick Walker SW

The Quick Walker is a reactive lure, perfect for high-pressure situations:

• Shallow Bay Areas & Estuaries: Its rear-weighted design allows you to fan-cast vast areas of water to find active fish quickly. The 12g weight is perfectly balanced to reach distance marks on light to medium spinning gear.

• Targeting Cautious Sea Bream: This SW model is a legendary tool for Sea Bream (Kurodai). The ability to perform sharp turns with very short travel distances is essential for tricking bream that follow a lure closely but are hesitant to strike.

• Calm to Light-Chop Conditions: While it excels on a glass surface, the stabilizing throat design and Water Through Gills keep the lure from skipping or blowing out when the wind picks up, making it reliable in typical coastal conditions.

• Matching the Hatch: At 8.7cm, this is the perfect profile for when predators are feeding on small baitfish like Sprat or small Mullet. The fast, agitated action mimics a panicked baitfish trying to escape a shoal.

Gerrys Pro Tip: This is a reaction bait. If you see fish following but not hitting, increase your retrieve speed. The Dog-X Quick Walker is designed to handle an incredibly fast cadence without losing its rhythm. The goal is to force the fish into an instinctive strike or lose it decision
