RAPALA Countdown Elite 55mm GDRT

Rapala CountDown Elite CDE55 5.5cm 5g premium sinking trout and perch lure

The Rapala CountDown Elite CDE55 combines over 80 years of lure-making expertise with modern lure technology to create a premium sinking lure for trout and perch fishing. Built around Rapala’s legendary balsa body, it retains the famous controlled slow-sinking action of the original CountDown while offering improved casting performance, durability, and versatility.

This lure solves the challenge of accurately presenting a lure at a specific depth. Its controlled sinking action allows anglers to count the lure down to the strike zone before retrieving, making it highly effective when fish are holding at precise depths.

Fish it with a steady retrieve, twitching action, or stop-and-go presentation in Irish rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. The fluttering action on the drop imitates an injured baitfish, often triggering strikes from trout and perch following the lure.
