Shimano Tackle Wallet

Shimano Tackle Wallet | The Compact Land-Based Essential

At Gerrys Fishing, we find the Shimano Tackle Wallet to be the ultimate solution for the roving angler. If you prefer to cover miles of bank or coastline rather than sitting in one spot, this wallet allows you to carry a surprisingly large amount of technical gear in a package that fits easily into a large jacket pocket or small daypack.

Constructed from hard-wearing 420D Polyester, it is designed to protect your most important terminal tackle and soft plastics from the elements. Its not just a bag; its a modular storage system that includes a tackle box and specialized sleeves to keep you organized when the bite is on.

Technical Organization & Build

• Modular Internal System: The wallet opens to reveal a 3-ring binder system housing 10 heavy-duty plastic sleeves with zip closures. These are perfect for keeping soft plastics in their original scents or for organizing pre-tied rigs, leaders, and packets of hooks.

• Integrated Tackle Box: Unlike standard wallets, this includes a custom-fit tackle box with adjustable compartments. This is the ideal home for jig heads, weights, and small hard-body lures, ensuring they dont rattle around or damage more delicate items.

• 420D Polyester Construction: The outer shell is made from high-denier polyester, providing excellent abrasion resistance and a degree of water resistance against salt spray and light rain.

• Bungee Cord Nylon Zips: Shimano has equipped the wallet with non-corrosive nylon zippers featuring bungee cord pullers. This makes it incredibly easy to open the wallet with one hand or while wearing gloves.

• Mesh-Lined Compartments: Additional internal net-lined pockets provide a secure place for flat items like fishing licenses, leader spools, or small tools like braid scissors.

Use Example: Estuary Wandering and Rock Hopping

Imagine you are walking a flat at low tide, chasing Flathead or Bream, or navigating a rocky ledge for Squid. You need to stay light and mobile, but you also need to switch between a soft plastic, a small vibe, and a different weight jig head as the current changes.

The Shimano Tackle Wallet is the perfect companion here. You can carry your favorite soft plastic tails in the zip-lock sleeves, a selection of jig heads in the included tackle box, and your leader material in the mesh pockets. Because its so compact, it doesnt snag on bushes or weigh you down. When its time to re-rig, everything is clearly visible and accessible, allowing you to get back in the water in seconds.
