Tronixpro Barrel Pop Ups 7x8mm

The Tronixpro Barrel Pop Ups 7x8mm are a size variant of a popular fishing attractor used primarily in sea fishing, often on scratching or flapper rigs.

Here is a breakdown of their features and purpose:

Key Features and Purpose

• Size: 7mm x 8mm (Barrel-shaped).
• Material: Made from a buoyant TPR-style plastic (Thermoplastic Rubber).
• Function (Buoyancy): Their primary purpose is to add buoyancy to the hook and bait. This serves several functions:
  • Anti-Crab Protection: They lift the bait slightly off the seabed, placing it out of the immediate reach of nuisance species like crabs.
  • Enhanced Presentation: They allow the bait to waft and move naturally in the tide/current, giving it an attractive, lively presentation that bottom-feeding fish find irresistible.
• Visual Attraction: They come in various colours, typically Luminous (Glow-in-the-dark) or White, to add a visual element to the bait presentation.
• UV Rechargeable: The luminous versions can be charged (made to glow brighter) by shining a UV torch on them before casting, which increases their attraction in dark or murky water.
• Ease of Use: Being made of soft plastic, they are easy to use. Anglers simply push the barrel over the hook and slide it up onto the snood (hook length) to position it just above the bait.

Packaging

The 7x8mm size typically comes in a pack of 15 pieces. (Note: The smallest 5x6mm size usually contains 25 pieces, while the largest 9x10mm size contains 10 pieces)
