Yo-Zuri Original Crystal Minnow Floating: The Standard for Flash and Realism

At Gerrys Fishing, the Yo-Zuri Crystal Minnow remains one of the most iconic lures in our arsenal. It is world-renowned for its Crystal finisha brilliant holographic laser tape that catches and reflects every bit of subsurface light. This creates a strobe-like flash that provides a clear target for predators even in murky water or low-light conditions.

Built with a strong polycarbonate body and a durable clear-coated exterior, this lure is designed to withstand the rigors of salt and freshwater environments. The combination of its animated, over-sized 3D eyes and raised molded gill plates makes it one of the most realistic baitfish imitations on the market. Whether you are using a steady retrieve or an aggressive twitch-stop-go technique, the Crystal Minnows balanced design ensures a consistent, fish-catching rhythm.

Product Details and Uses

The Crystal Minnow Floating model is a highly versatile tool for a variety of strike-triggering presentations:

• The Twitch-Stop-Go Master: As a floating model, this lure is designed to dart and dive erratically when twitched, and then slowly float back to the surface during the pause. This upward movement is a massive trigger for predators like Bass and Pike, who often strike the moment the lure begins to rise.

• Maximum Light Reflection: The holographic tape is protected by a tough outer coating, meaning the flash wont wear off after a few strikes. This reflection is particularly effective in clear water under bright sun, but also acts as a beacon in stained or turbid coastal waters.

• Steady Retrieve Stability: For anglers who prefer a simpler approach, the Crystal Minnow features a reliable, tight wiggling action on a straight retrieve. It tracks perfectly straight even at higher speeds, making it a great choice for light trolling from a boat or kayak.

• Saltwater Grade Durability: Equipped with tin-plated treble hooks and stainless steel split rings, this lure is saltwater ready straight out of the box. It is a staple for targeting Mackerel, Bass, and Sea Trout along the coast, as well as large Perch and Zander in freshwater.

• Visual Triggers: The oversized 3D eyes serve as a strike point for predators. Fish often aim for the head of their prey, and these prominent eyes help ensure a high hook-up ratio by centering the attack on the front treble.

Gerrys Pro Tip: In estuaries or river mouths, try dead-sticking this lure near structure. Cast it out and let it sit on the surface for a few seconds. The holographic tape will catch the light even while stationary. Give it one sharp twitch to make it dive, then let it float back up. This dying baitfish routine is often too much for a nearby predator to resist
